Salt and Guideline Daily Amounts (GDAs)
 

As well as more detailed information on the back of packs, many manufacturers are also highlighting the salt content of their products on the front as part of the Guideline Daily Amount (GDA) labelling scheme. This clearly shows the amount of salt in a portion of the food and relates it to the Guideline Daily Amount for salt. An adult's GDA for salt is 6g. Here's an example* of how the label looks:
