Get Active UK!

Over 400 health clubs and leisure centres across the UK are offering you the chance to get active for free until 23 April. For more information go to the Get Active UK! website.

Get Active UK! is the Fitness Industry Association's (FIA's) programme to promote physical activity in the workplace. Supported by the Government, Get Active UK! aims to get more workers, more active, more often and to make employers and employees realise the benefits of a healthier workforce.

foodfitness is supporting Get Active UK! and providing science-based foodfitness resources on healthy eating to participants of the programme.

Get Active UK! has completed two successful pilot stages, introducing 125 employees across 6 businesses to the benefits of a more active and healthier workforce. The programme is currently obligated to run regional pilots with funding from Sport England in the East and London regions. The plan in the near future is to roll the programme out across more regions and eventually nationally.

FDF members and other organisations requiring more information, or to register their interest to take part in Get Active UK!, should contact Stephanie Eynon at the FIA on 020 7202 4712 or email stephanie@fia.org.uk or visit www.getactiveuk.co.uk
